Mamavation Monday – Week Six 3/01/2010

by Stacey on March 1, 2010 · 9 comments

My intention for this Mamavation post is to create space to listen to my natural inner wisdom around my health and fitness goals.

Last week was frustrating because I gained one pound. I used @FrugalFemina‘s meal plan as I guide and carefully watched what I ate. But it’s really hard to eat healthy, drink 60+ ounces of water, and exercise every day. It’s really really hard.

My intention is to balance eating healthy, drinking 60+ ounces of water, and exercising every day. I’m not there yet, but that is the vision I desire for my body, mind, spirit, and heart.

Although I did not find a healthy balance last week, I know today is a new day. My friend and wellness expert, Stacey Shipman, inspired me last week when I watched her American Heart Association public service announcement about women, heart disease and the AHA Go Red For Women campaign.

Stacey is spreading the word that living healthy is a right we all have.  Although she is not a mom, I know she would love the #Mamavation philosophy because she believes in women coming together to support one another to live healthy, satisfied, “feel-good” lives.

Please take 2 minutes to watch this extremely important message.

Cheers to taking care of ourselves and for choosing to live!

You can do this, Stacey! It is *really* hard. But you have a great spirit, and I think you’ll get there. Sometimes it just takes some patience. You’ve got to do it over and over again until it becomes second nature. Have a fantastic week!

It is hard! Very Hard! I think it is funny that it is easier to gain it but it kicks your butt to take it off! You can do it. Thanks for posting the video – the Go Red campaign is a great one!

Keep up living to try to be the best you!! Good luck this week!

I’m sort of tackling it one at a time. It’s less overwhelming. I have the working out down, I drink the water while working out which helps and now I’m working on the eating. The eating is the hardest for me! Wish there more nutrition classes.

I like the phrase “feel-good” lives … it sets a bar for driving from happiness and shifting towards pleasure, and away from pain (and we are our own biggest drivers of pleasure and pain, depending on how we respond to the world.)

You just gotta take little steps at a time and you will get where you want to be!

You are tackling a lot at once. I’d actually prefer you get one right at a time. That way you can turn them into a habit and move into more. It should never be so overwhelming that you think there is no way out. Cause that is when people throw out the towel. You just need to slow down a bit and get grounded. XXOO

LastMinuteMandy – It’s still not second nature, but things are slowly becoming a habit.

@Dana321 – Thanks for watching the video.

Pamela – For some reason, I want to tackle it all at once.

J.D. – To me, choosing to have a “feel-good” life helps me make more “feel-good” decisions.

Amy – I know you can do it too!

Colleen – Thanks for your words of support. Cheers to taking little steps.

Leah @Bookieboo – I think I have the eating healthy thing down and now I’m working on the water. Exercise is key, but not yet a habit.

Stacey Shipman – Hi Stacey! I love the video (your amazing energy shines through).
