Kia - Thanks for your support.

Leah @Bookieboo - "...that mind set is the only thing that gets you to the finish line." - This is something I remind myself of everyday. Thanks!

Pamela M. Kramer - Try vs. commitment is very mind opening. It's amazing how our minds can play tricks on us.

Muncher - Yikes.

J.D. - Love the Yoda quote!

I like the distinction between "try" vs. "commit." It makes sense why Yoda said, "Do or Do Not. There is no try."

In the South West UK there is a coloquial term for ladies that have a few extra pounds - pasty munchers - named after the local savory Cornish Pasty. Unfortunately I only discovered this a year or so after calling my blog the same name. Rolls eyes

There is a BIG difference between committing vs. trying. It's all a mind set. And that mind set is the only thing that gets you to the finish line. XXOO

Megan - Thanks. It would be great to create a long list of non-food related activities that would comfort us.

Nice post! That's a great realization...that you are actually 'commited' to something else. I think for me it's the commitment to comforting myself! (as in the bowl of ice cream i just ate cuz I'm a wee bit lonely?) I've never heard of that thing you are applying for...but I'm sure you will get it!
